Errant Age: 17 Physical Description: 5' 10" , red eyes, white hair, light skin, has bursts of strength used in comedic stunts but has no muscle to show for it. Chosen by: The Book Gift Description: N/A
Personality: Errant is the typical knight in (not so) shining armor that is found in fairy tales. However, unlike other fairy tale knights, his confidence and motivation die out if he is not with Damzel (or the princess). Because of this, rescuing the kidnapped princess has always been a hard job for Errant, and he is not very excited to have to keep doing it. However, when he is with Damzel, Errant's confidence boosts greatly, along with attaining the usual "knight" mentality.
History: Errant is the basic form of the "knight-errant" cliche, meaning his life has been a continuous fairy tale story, where he continuously has to rescue the Damzel. Since he is the embodiment of said cliche, he is connected to The Book as the base of a "knight-errant" for its stories. Due to The Book's unmaking, Errant has been split from his continuous fairy tale, to attempt to save his story and The Book itself.
Abilities: When around Damzel, Errant gets a random boost in physical strength, confidence, and motivation, enabling him to fight off the various enemies in their way.
Damzel Age: 16 Physical Description: 0' 4" (very small), blue eyes, blue hair. Strong legs (due to the constant amount of jumping she needs to do in order to climb stuff) Chosen by: The Book Gift Description: N/A
Personality: Damzel is the typical princess (with the exception of her size, that is) found in fairy tales. Unlike Errant, Damzel has managed to stay cheery after the continuous kidnapping and rescuing. Although, Damzel is impatient when it comes to waiting, and wanders around hoping to find something to do, or a new adventure to go on.
History: As the basic form of the "damsel in distress" cliche, Damzel spends most of her time in some castle or tower, waiting on Errant to come and break her out (again). Like Errant, Damzel is connected to The Book as the basic "damsel in distress" model. With The Book's unmaking, the fairy tale of Errant and Damzel has been interrupted, and in danger just like all the other stories. As The Book changes, Errant and Damzel are slightly affected too, since they are basic story models (in a sense "archetypes"). However, Damzel's main concern is to protect her story... and her happy ending.
Abilities: High physical ability, enabling her to jump and run inhuman distances (due to her size, however, it is equivalent to average human distances).
